COMIT is About Completing the 1st Stage of Testing EMF for VMS

COMIT Telecom Services Corp. (a subsidiary of COMIT Corporation) is about completing its 1st stage of testing Electro-Magnetic Field and earth resistance for VMS (MobiFone). The 1st stage covers about 700 BTSs in Hanoi and HCMC. The 2nd stage will cover over 1500 BTSs in other provinces.

The Vietnam's Ministry of Communications and Information (MIC) requires mobile operators to test their BTSs before going live. The BTS that doesn't pass criteria requested by MIC will not be allowed to operate. This is to ensure that BTSs will not cause any health problem to people who is living in nearby houses.

COMIT Telecom Service Corp. is one of about 15 service companies having the MIC's license for testing EMF. The company shares about 20% of this market. It's servicing VMS, EVN Telecom, VNP (VinaPhone) and SPT (S-Fone).
