Viettel Continuously Relies on COMIT's Optical Splicers and OTDRs

COMIT has just completed the delivery of over 40 optical splicers Fujikura FSM-60S and 50 OTDRs JDSU MTS-6000 to Viettel. This delivery has increased the number of Fujikura optical splicers and JDSU OTDRs those have been used in Viettel network up to hundreds.

The Fujikura FSM-60S is equipped with PAS (profile alignment system) for precise core-to-core fiber alignment for consistent low splice loss, and accurate loss estimation regardless of fiber type or quality. Various automation, such as calibration-free arc discharge system (with AUTO splice mode), automatic fiber identification systems, auto-start tube heater, and reduced operation steps provide easier operation. The FSM-60S can be used with or without Fiber Holder. It's shock resistance, dust resistance, and rain resistance.

JDSU MTS-6000 is a compact and lightweight test platform designed for the installation and maintenance of fiber networks. It provides field technicians with the highest levels of performance and upgradability on the market today. Its key features are:
- Over 40 application modules for IL/ORL, OTDR, PMD, CD, WDM
- Comprehensive connection checker functionality with built-in VFL, powermeter, LTS, optical talkset and video inspection scope options
- Exceeding Telcordia specifications for ruggedness, drop test and extended battery life
