JDSU CommTest Global Sales Meeting was from September 8 to September 10, 2008 at Hilton Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida, USA. This was JDSU annual meeting to summarize the last year business and set up the goals and business plans for next year.
There were 350 representatives from 55 countries around the world at the meeting, including COMIT Corporation. In the 3-day meeting, JDSU conducted a business report for the fiscal year from Jul 2007 to Jun 2008, of which, it had exceeded its business plan with the revenue of USD 1.4 billions. In particular, the JDSU Communications Test and Measurement had made up more than 50% with USD 710 millions, increased by 12% compared to the last fiscal year. Besides business report, JDSU had spent a great amount of time on training and updating of products’ new development as well as the world’s communication trends.
Built on its long-term goal to sustain the position of the world’s No.1 in communications test & measurement and its success in past few years, JDSU Commtest defined its target “one-one by one-one” (to achieve the revenue of USD 1.1 billions in 2011) and a new slogan “Accelerate to Great”.
COMIT had significantly contributed to JDSU success and was recognized with number of cups and certificates. The important awards are:
“Distributor Sales Achievement Award for Exceeding Budget FY08”. This award is for COMIT’s performance exceeding Sales Plan. There are only three countries among South East Asia region receiving this award.
“Sales Leadership Award FY08”. This award is for COMIT’s self-oriented capability to overcome difficulties to achieve sales target.
“Outstanding Performance in FY08”. This award is for COMIT’s excellent performance, not only in sales but also in areas such as developing the organization, mastering technologies, improving technical support,etc. Only COMIT got this award in the Asia Pacific region.
Both COMIT and JDSU are confident with the business growth in the next fiscal year.
