VMS Selected COMIT's Drive Test, Transport Test and Spectrum Analyzer Solutions
Posted by: webmaster on Feb 11, 2008 - 10:43 PM
VMS selected COMIT's Drive Test, Transport Test and Spectrum Analyzer solutions for ensuring its network's QoS.

The Nemo Drive Test is now the leading air interface test tool for mobile networks around the world. It is the No.1 drive test tool in Vietnam, widely used in networks of VMS, VNP and Viettel. It is the standard tool, used by PTQC (Post & Telematics Quality Control Directorate, Ministry of Information and Communications) for benchmarking mobile networks.

The JDSU ANT-20 Advanced Network Tester is also a standard test tool for transport networks around the world. It can be said that all transport networks in Vietnam are using this tool for troubleshooting and maintaining purposes. It is widely used in VMS, VTN, VTI, Viettel, etc.

The Willtek 9102 is a multi-function tester that provides antenna/feeder test, RF spectrum analyzer, RF frequency counter and RF power meter. It has been used for ensuring the operation of VMS base stations for serveral years.

The Willtek 9102 can now operate at frequencies up to 7.5 GHz (gigahertz), supporting new applications in the microwave range. This new feature is an option to the 9102 which so far covered the range from 100 kHz to 4 GHz. Applications covered by the Willtek 9102 with the 7.5 GHz frequency extension include aviation signals, directional radio, VSAT (very small aperture terminal), and signals in the 5 GHz unlicensed band, such as Wireless LAN (WLAN) and WiMAX. RFID signals are best analyzed in the zero-span mode provided by the spectrum analyzer. Willtek’s 9102 also supports a wide range of applications with accessories for cable fault finding, EMC and radiation measurements and fault finding in 3G mobile phones.

In addition to the frequency extension, Willtek also introduces an insertion power sensor for broadband power measurements at up to 50 watt. Coverage, EMC and radiation measurements can now be recorded with the exact position using the 9168 GPS Receiver Option, a computer mouse-like device that can be attached to the 9102.
